About Crystal Mackenzie
I'am a Religious Studies student at the University of Calgary and this blog is a part of my last semester. In it, I will document my exploration of the religious prescence in the NE neighbourhood of Bridgeland. With at least twelve churches and one Budhist Temple, it is known as having one of, if not the highest, concentration of religious buildings, in Calgary. On my bike (as winter in Calgary has been extremly generous this year) and sometimes with my daughter, I will document the various religious buildings and delve into their histories. What is the same and what has changed over the years in this amazing neighborhood. As I move through this assignment, I welcome any questions or feedback regarding my explorations. I would also love to hear from anyone who has intimate knowledge about the churches of Bridgeland, either from your own experiences or from the stories of your grandparents.
